HOLLA! Literacy Festival HOLLA! (Helping Our Loved Ones Learn and Achieve) held its second annual Literacy Festival on Feb. 2 at the Hampton B. Allen Library. In addition to the invited authors were Dance Like David Danced and the Leap of Faith praise dancers, the Anson High School Gospel Choir, motivational speakers, a comic-book drawing workshop and plenty of food to snack on. Members of the Anson County Writers' Club were on hand to display and sell copies of Anson Pathways and to present a check to HOLLA! for $1,500 toward festival expenses (see Grants).
